Clock-Skew Fingerprinting System Overview


Acadia was asked to design a next-generation, high-throughput security system to transition a laboratory-tested security algorithm into a full-scale system suitable for a production network environment. This system acquires digital signatures ("fingerprints") of clients on a host network, enabling unique identification of systems which are otherwise masked or hidden.

Working with its partner Pingho Associates Corporation (PAC) for the U.S. Technical Support Working Group (TSWG), Acadia provided a complete proposal, system design, project schedule, deliverable list, and risk mitigation plan. This system incorporates front-end high speed electronics, sophisticated COTS hardware, high-performance databases, and front-end visualization clients designed for use by law enforcement and defense agencies.
